For over 70 years the production of high tensile shackles has been our core competence. Mr. Dirk van Beest founded the company, Van Beest, in 1922, initially as a supplier of iron work to the dredging industry. From the very beginning, the Company has been forging shackles and its iron work expertise gave the Van Beest shackle an edge over the competition. This was the start of a network of professional users that now stretches to places all over the world.The designs and quality standards of our shackles are the result of the requirements put forward over the years by our customers in markets throughout the world. Our shackles are marked Green Pin® . Production today is still effected on the same premises in Sliedrecht, the Netherlands. And at this very same location we have realised a new factory that has initiated production from the middle of the year 2000. The new factory is joining a single roof with the Distribution Center (our main warehouse facility), together they will cover 12.000 square meters (130.000 square feet). At the Distribution Center we offer from stock our Green Pin® shackles as well as a wide variety of carefully selected accessories.
