Las contratuercas metálicas DIN 7967 se utilizan generalmente para el montaje de piezas ligeras de metal o plástico. No son aptas para tensiones axiales elevadas. También se utilizan en todos los casos en que las piezas a fijar tienen roscas grandes en proporción a su peso.
