Standard ASME B18.8.2
Coiled spring pins shall have straigth cylindrical sides with both ends chamfered and coiled construction, multiple walls and are made in Standard, Heavy and Ligth duty series. Upon installation, the pin diameters contract and the spring reaction against the sides of the hole tends to retain the pin.
