DIN 5699 Standard Dimensions for Chain U-Links (shackels) for conveyors
This standard applies to forged chain brackets: a) tempered and with edge hardened in the chain area (articulation) b) carburized, tempered and with edge hardened in the chain area (articulation) and establishes their dimensions and mechanical properties. Complete chain brackets according to this standard are used together with other components for connecting chains according to DIN 764 part 1 and part 2 and DIN 766 part 3, e.g. horizontally or vertically in continuous conveyors.
