Diese Norm (DIN EN ISO 8752) entählt die Eigenschaften von geschlitzen Spiralspannstifte aus Stahl oder aus martensitischem beziehungsweise austenitischem Edelstahl in schwerer Ausführung mit Nenndurchmesser von 1 bis einschließlich 50 mm. Die Nenndurchmesser wurden so gewählt, dass die Spannstifte ineinandergeschoben oder mit Spannstiften in leichter Ausführung nach DIN 13337 verbunden werden können.
