WEIPPERT Kunststofftechnik GmbH & Co. KG
Manufacturer specialising in glass fibre reinforced plastic fasteners.
Founded in 1992, the focus was still on the production of thermoplastic precision moulded parts. In 2016, we successfully added the first glass-fibre reinforced plastic screws, nuts and washers to our ever-growing range.
Through the targeted use of glass-fibre reinforced plastics, our screws achieve significantly higher tensile force and torque values. In combination with other positive plastic properties, such as corrosion and contact corrosion resistance, as well as thermal and electrical insulation and a weight saving of up to 80% of the screw weight, our glass-fibre reinforced plastic screws are an innovative product "Made in Germany".
Our standard screws are manufactured in polyamide (PA) with 30%, 50% or 60% glass fibre content in natural or black colour.
- Slotted pan head screws M2 and M2.5
- Pan head screws with TX drive M3 to M10
- Hexagon head bolts M3 to M10
- Screws with cylindrical head, with socket M3 to M10
- Countersunk head screws with TX drive M3 to M6
- Hexagon nuts M4 to M10
- Plain washers
We can supply materials such as PEEK with glass fibre content, plastics with special properties or requirements and colour requests.
The latest product - the self-tapping plastic screw for easily mouldable materials such as wood, plastics or elastomers - allows screwing in without a counter-thread, only with a pilot hole.
Advantages of our glass fibre reinforced plastic screws
- tensile force and torque values higher than plastic screws made of PA without glass fibre
- corrosion resistance
- no contact corrosion
- electrical and thermal insulation
- low unit weight
For applications in lightweight construction, vehicle construction, model making, medical technology, water and waste water, shipbuilding, electronics and electrical engineering, aerospace.
