Company is looking for Screws with thread locking for motorsport battery module project.
M3x0.5-5 ISO 7380 Class 8.8 White Zinc Plated
In particular, in the current application, a series of M3 screws fasten a composite component to another plastic component by screwing into a co-molded insert in galvanized steel.
At the moment the anti-unscrewing solution used on the prototype is a spring washer which, however, given the number of screws to be installed, is expensive to implement during production.
Another requirement of the locking system is that, in case of maintenance, the screw can be removed without damaging the co-molded insert (essentially without fracturing the interface between the plastic component and the drowned insert). The co-molded inserts are tested at a maximum torque of 0.65 Nm.
At the moment we have identified the Tuflok treatment as a possible solution, but we are open to evaluating other systems based on your suggestions.
In general we will need the following quantity of treated screws (possibly purchasing the finished product from you):
2025: 10,000 pcs by February 2025 + 18,000 to follow (delivery schedule to be established)
2026: 75,000 pcs (delivery schedule to be established)
2027: 75,000 pcs (delivery schedule to be established)
Furthermore, before the first complete order, it would be useful to have a small sample (50/100 pieces) to be able to verify the assembly of the treated screws with our technicians.
