Technical History and International Equivalents of DIN EN ISO 10644

Screw and washer assemblies made of steel with plain washers. Washer hardness classes 200 HV and 300 HV

This standard specifies the requirements for metric combi-screws with captive flat steel washers with threads from M2 to M12, flat heads, strength classes up to and including 10.9 and discs of hardness classes 200 HV and 300 HV. Sems screws are often called: Captivated Washers, Screw Washer Assemblies or Combi Screws. They are a combination of a screw or bolt with a built in unloosable and free to rotate washer or set of washers. The technology has brought benefits to assembly lines the world over. Sems screws are being used to make product assembly more cost effective in many industries including automotive and micro electronics.
