This standard DIN 6796 applies for conical springs, which represent stable and compressible spring element for bolted connections with strength classes from 8.8 to 10.9 according to DIN EN ISO 898-1. Conical springs press itself for strength classes < 8.8, so that the security effect is worsened considerably.
