Round steel link chain non proof loaded - long link

This part of DIN 5685 applies to long-link, welded steel chains, for which the execution of a load test is not required. The chains of the form G (straight links) are mainly used for general purposes, such as for barriers or for securing parts against loss, and in the form X (turned links) as connecting chains in agriculture. They are not tested for strength in the sense of DIN 685-3 and may not be used as load-carrying means, lifting means or suspension means in the sense of DIN 15003 in conjunction with cranes or hoists. The use of these chains for the static suspension of loads, eg lighting bodies, is the sole responsibility of the user.
